Theme of the Novel
There are two primary themes of this novel. One is the wtwo different sides of hummanity good and evil. And the other is the deep and lasting bond of a companionship. As you'll see through the novel in us we can either have a good-loving nature or one that seeks greed, power, and the misery of others. In the first part of the book White Fang was brutally beaten and abused, and the only way he could stop it was by doing their wishes and exceling at combat and other tasks but he could never be happy because of all the punishment he took. But in the other half once he meet Scott he was treated like a friend. Scott would always pet him, give him meat, and love White Fang and treat him as a equal. This would prove White Fang wrong on his knowledge that all humans were bad and showed that there was also a caring side to people which would make him a loyal companion to Scott. Which brings us to the other topic Loyal Companionship. When Scott saved White Fang from the Yukon White Fang would forever be loyal to him. Not just becaused he freed him but because he actually showed logve to White Fang unlike anyone else before. And in the following months White Fang would battle everyone wild instinct to adapt to dog life, protect Scott and savebhim and his family for danger, and finally learn to love because he cared for Scott and would always be loyal to him from what they had in their strong bond in their companionship.
